OFFERING SAFER PUBLIC SPACES

In 1995 a shortened version of OFFERING SAFER SPACES was published in the Journal of Museum Education (Volume 21, #1, Fall, 14-16).  It came from a much larger paper that I did not reread for many years.  Yet last year when I reread it I understood that I have been writing about safe spaces and stranger interaction for much longer than I remembered. 

This paper written long ago forms the foundation of my thinking then and carries on to this day.
