SAVINGS BANK FOR THE SOUL — This paper was originally written for

A PAPER DELIVERED FOR THE MUSEUMS AUSTRALIA INC 1996 CONFERENCE

31 OCTOBER 1996

The paper explores “congregant behavior”, “Institutions of Memory”, building community and the role of group responsibility amidst the pull of individual achievement.  In many ways this is a foundational paper for all my other writings.  It has been published in various locations and used in teaching.  I like the title and am still pleased with the paper.
