CONCEPTUALIZING A MUSEUM: HOW TO BEGIN
I wrote this power point slide set for the beginning conversation with boards of directors intent on starting a new museum.
I hoped it would lead to sober reflection and skepticism followed by realistic assessment of all data.
Though I am often involved in creating new museums I am hopeful that everyone will understand that creating a new museum is difficult, expensive, time consuming and requires patience. The commitment needs to be deep and on-going. It is not for the feint of heart.
And it is easier to stop at the beginning.
